I don't trust anyone who says they don't care about music. I don't understand how that could be possible. I'm still the world's biggest music fan, always looking for other music fans. Since I was a kid, nothing has come more naturally to me than turning people on to new music, and ensuring that they're listening to something good. I never take for granted that I get to do that professionally now, or that I get to do it with creative, brilliant teams of people who put the artists and fans first. I take pride in a lot of things that form the core of who I am professionally. Developing strong relationships with artists, managers, agents and other key players in artists' careers. Building great teams. Fostering creativity and collaboration. Executing big ideas. Creating excitement and synergy across the company. Being the first to try new things. Inspiring staff to always strive for greatness. And continuing to think like a fan. I love evolution and change. I love being challenged. In my 20+ years in the music industry, I've done a lot. Project management, sales, retail marketing, superstar events, artist development, lifestyle marketing, all things digital and much more. The best part is, I still learn something new every day. There's never been so much to keep up with, so many exciting ways to reach fans and spread great music and content. It's also never been more challenging to cut through the noise and make an impact. To be the soundtrack to so many music fans' moments -- moments that are increasingly lived in a massive amount of different places, in both the digital and physical worlds. In the face of this landscape, success still looks the same. Breaking great artists. Building their brands. Exciting the fans and getting them invested. Building strong teams. Being a creative force in the industry. Having artists feel like we are making an important contribution to their careers. It's what drives me every day. When I'm not obsessing about music and culture, you can usually find me on the Peloton bike, or reading every ingredient on the packaging of foods that I ultimately decide I shouldn't eat.
