Senior Reconstruction And Operations Analyst
Current08-2011 to Present; A Senior Reconstruction and Operations Analyst; Undersea Warfighting Development Center - UWDC),10-2004 to 08-2011; Lead Operations Analyst; General Dynamics Information Technology,For the past eleven years, I have primarily served as principal advisor and lead analyst in the development of the ASW Tactical Assessment System (A-TAS) for reconstruction and analysis (R&A) of Fleet exercises and real world operations in support of UWDC, the U.S. Navy’s Center of Excellence for ASW. The A-TAS program is an essential analysis and evaluation tool used by major components of the U.S. Navy including COMSEVENTHFLT, COMFIFTHFLT, and Commander Destroyer Squadron Fifteen (DESRON 15) to assess performance during exercises and operations. In addition to my A-TAS development tasks, which include testing modifications and updates and formulating new lines of development to improve R&A support, I am also a full-time Operations Analyst, which entails near real-time reconstruction and analysis of large scale, multinational exercises, smaller unit-level tactical events, and investigation of high interest Real World events and contingency operations.Supporting dozens of such exercises and operations per year requires the integration of multiple task elements such as assisting U.S. Fleet Forces Command, U.S. Pacific Fleet, and C7F AOR Staffs with the determination of analysis objectives, which in turn leads to the development of assessment products, and finally the data collection requirements, all within the constraints of the operational timeline. I spearheaded the development of the Single-Side reconstruction tool in A-TAS, which generates estimated Red submarine tracks for Real World and High Interest operations using contact information from multiple friendly data sources. The Single-Side reconstruction products are used in daily briefs and intelligence assessments throughout the C5F & C7F AORs.
