- Complete descriptive metadata for photographs, text, and other items and upload them for public view to the SMU Digital Collections.- Participate in the Voices of SMU Oral Histories Project. Duties include editing videos in DaVinci Resolve, proofreading captions and transcripts, uploading captions to videos, completing descriptive metadata for videos, updating workflows, and creating visuals for the VOSMU Instagram page.- Miscellaneous duties as needed related to metadata and digitization.

Digitizing documents for upload onto the UNT Digital Library service and the Texas History Portal. Responsibilities include handling documents from as early as the 1940s; scanning those documents with the appropriate machinery; performing physical checks and quality checks on those scanned items; metadata; and counting inventory that has been received. While most of the work is individual, communication between all members of the team is required to work around schedules, ensure the technology used is operating properly, and to keep up an efficient workflow. The project I am working on is the Kempner project: digitizing records from the Kempner family that are being stored in the Rosenburg library.
