As a social worker with more than 14 years of experience, I am passionate and dedicated to helping people realise their full potential as human beings despite the disadvantageous situations in the society they are in. I have a strong background in communication, case management services, and office administration, which I leverage to support the mission and vision of Marikina Valley Medical Center, where I have been serving as the Chief Medical Social Worker for over a year.In this role, I lead and supervise a team of social workers who provide psychosocial interventions, referrals, and advocacy for patients and their families. I also coordinate with other departments, agencies, and stakeholders to ensure the delivery of quality and holistic care for the patients. I am responsible for developing and implementing policies, procedures, and programs that enhance the social work practice and the welfare of the patients and the staff. Some of the initiatives that I have spearheaded or contributed to include the establishment of a crisis intervention unit, the creation of a patient feedback system, and the facilitation of various trainings and workshops for the social workers and other health workers. I value collaboration, compassion, and empowerment, and I aim to bring diverse perspectives and experiences to the team and the community.
