Supervisor for a steel stockholders business. The operation is comprised of the following areas: Bar Orders, Saws, Weighbridge, Transport, Good Inwards. Supervise the Bar Orders team and ensure each staff members are working within standards and time frame. Responsible for initial training and monitoring of new warehousemen, trainees must comply with company policy and performance levels, which are incremental and adapted to the trainees personal skills and fitness, within certain acceptable parameters. Elaborate reports upon their performance and predicted adaptability and success in the company. Responsible for planning out warehouse resources and activities in relation to companies objectives and targets. Also keeping track of stock using computer systems, allocating space for storing goods and organising special requirements for stock. Complete daily orders and forward them for loading, fill in and process invoices for transport. Oversee the loading of deliveries and coordinating with the transport office. Maintaining high standards of materials handling. Ensuring stock levels are managed and controlled effectively. Ensuring compliance with all Health and Safety regulations. Using automated computer systems to monitor stock control and coordinate with sales office in case of discrepancies. Incident and performance reports for senior managers. Making sure that all deliveries are carried out in time. Assisting with employee disciplinary procedures. In charge of the warehouse when the warehouse manager is unavailable or off duty.
