Responsibilities:• Managing teams of solutions analysts in the UK and India in respect of the HSBC Group’s Global Payments Investigations application.• Assessing the viability of new requests and from initial business requirements providing the business with proposals and solutions that meet business needs, aligned with IT strategy and maximising re-use globally.• Providing business driven IT consultancy, giving information about potential technology solutions, costs and timescales to enable business management to make informed choices about their IT investment.• Requirements elicitation at all levels of business from strategic to tactical using a variety of techniques from workshops to interviews.• As-is and to-be process mapping and modelling using appropriate presentation methods to ensure understanding and buy in from sponsors. • Advising and educating IT on business needs.• Negotiating agreed solutions that meet the needs of multiple stakeholders with diverse opinions and contradictory requirements.• Creation of project plans, task and resource allocation, progress reporting, quality control and issue escalation processes.• Double hatted as Head of Programme and Project Management in the last year, responsible for managing multiple project deliveries, embedding DevOps and Agile methodologies, standardised reporting, and migration of effort to low cost centres in India and China. Achievements:• Managed successful implementation of HSBC Groups Payment Investigation application across the major complex geographies (US, UK, Hong Kong) within an aggressive 2 year timescale and without any major production incident.• Managed the definition, build, test and implementation of the Group’s Sanctions/AML/FATF case handing workflows globally in 6 months.
