I am the Owner Emeritus, former CEO and current Purchasing Manager at Ward Lumber, a 130+ year-old company that provides quality lumber and building materials to our customers. I had been leading and supporting our team of up to 125 employees and later 50 employee-owners for over 35 years, as the fourth-generation owner and president of the company.My core competencies include business development, operations management, P&L management, strategy, and pricing strategy. I have a bachelor's degree in computer science and business from Utica College (now Utica University). I was honored as the New York Small Business Advocate of the Year by New York Governor George Pataki. My mission is to empower and engage our employee-owners, foster a culture of collaboration and innovation, and deliver value and satisfaction to our customers and partners. In 2021, I successfully transitioned Ward Lumber to a worker-owned cooperative, creating a more democratic and sustainable organization for the future.
