Jay knows first-hand about the overwhelm and frustration of dealing with marine compliance issues from all sides of the equation. He is a degreed and licensed engineer who has over 35 years of experience in the marine industry, from sea going operations to working in various supportive roles ashore. Jay’s career includes working with passenger vessels, inland and ocean-going cargo vessels, dredges, offshore drilling units, research vessels, fishing vessels, international towing vessels; and the last five (5) years focusing on regulated environmental issues, and how they are implemented and managed throughout the marine world.Jay holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Marine Engineering, from the State University of New York Maritime College, at Fort Schuyler, New York. He is a Federally licensed Chief Engineer of steam, motor and gas turbine vessels of any horsepower; an ISO Certified Lead Auditor; and a NAMS Certified Marine Surveyor. Jay has his own business, where he works hand-in-hand with his clients managing a variety of issues, including those related to marine compliance.
