G2: Global Inter-generational Initiative… Powered By P2GAn Innovative Jewish Experience for Grandparents and GrandchildrenProgram DescriptionG2 provides a platform for a grandparent to engage with their pre-teen grandchild (5th-6th grade) as a “zug” (pair) to explore, share, and experience the pre-teens’ relationship to their family, local community, Israel, and the Jewish people. Additionally, it will provide grandparents with a platform to share their own Jewish experiences and values, thereby passing down their Jewish legacy to their grandchildren and becoming change agents on a local and global level. This initiative will include:• Peulot (sessions) in which zugot will come together for innovative and exciting Jewish programming that will offer a platform for grandparents to share their experiences of Jewish life and heritage and inspire the younger generation with their commitment to Jewish community, Jewish values and Israel.• Mesimot (adventures), value-based activities, done by each zug to deepen the relationship between grandparent and grandchild and put into practice Jewish values. A People to People & Global InitiativeAs part of the Jewish Agency's Partnership2Gether Peoplehood Platform, this initiative will take place simultaneously in global Jewish communities and their partner Israeli communities. It will create a meaningful ongoing connection between all the participants, Jews around the world and Israelis, through:• Online mifgashim (meetings) • Connecting zugot in the Diaspora with Israeli zugot in their partner region • Creating a digital platform to share experiences globally. • Culminating with an inter-generational Global Israel Experience uniting all the zugot from the Diaspora and Israel for an incredible week of discovering Israel, exploring Jewish adulthood and volunteering, as one Global Jewish family.
