Mr. Won is both admired and well respected by our church community. He is an elected elder who provides leadership, direction and pastoral care for our congregation of 1500 members. He served as the chair of the Pastoral Care Committee and is currently serving as the chair of the Church Administration Committee. He is one of the most diligent, reliable, hardworking and committed members of our church and a wonderful asset to our ministry. He is a quick learner, a highly motivated individual and trustworthy leader. Although he is a busy man, Mr. Won has the incredible ability to manage his time well. He has been heavily involved with the construction of our church building, lending his skills as well as his time and energy. His volunteerism is outstanding and his love for the community is incredible.It is noteworthy to mention that Mr. Won embarked on a cross-Canada walkathon in 1997 to raise awareness and money for North Korean famine through Canada Food Grains Bank. Driven by a deep sense of compassion and vision, he walked for five months from Halifax to Vancouver, uniting communities along the way in the quest to help those who were suffering in North Korea. The church community and I were totally inspired by his efforts. Mr. Won continues to consistently demonstrate an ability to rise to any challenge and endeavour to do his best.by Rev.
