I run a consulting unit, where we advise various partners such as small & big agribusinesses, brands, financial institutes, and other service providers that are active in agriculture value chains in Africa, Asia, and Latin America. With my leadership, IDH's Digital Tech team is focusing on technology enabled business models to provide better incomes and better jobs for smallholders and environmental sustainability.Accomplishments:• Developed and implemented tech & sustainable finance learning agenda as well as published several knowledge products and tools. • Created a methodology to make digital transformation analysis & advice affordable to agribusinesses and other service providers.• Designed an innovative pilot for Mastercard, Rabobank, ECOM, ETG and Kenyan banks to provide bundled services to maize and coffee farmers.• Promoted smallholder segmentation and lead the creation of a segmentation tool.

I work together with the private sector, governments, and civil society organizations to improve smallholder livelihoods.Accomplishments:• Provided strategic advice for value chains such as coffee, cocoa, tea, spices, cotton, etc., in building smallholder resilience around the globe.• Developed and implemented IDH technology agenda focusing agriculture value chain digital transformation.• Conducted a design sprint in Indonesia to explore revenue opportunities for an information service provider aiming to improve the efficiency of pepper farming.• Lead UNSGSA's Ag-fin working group that resulted in a partnership model among agribusinesses, banks and fin-techs. We achieved to unlock access to agri-finance while reducing overall risk through service ecosystem.• Chaired smallholder strategy group facilitating learnings across IDH programs.

Lusaka, Zambia

WFP is the food assistance branch of the UN addressing hunger and promoting food security. My role at WFP was enhancing market access for smallholder farmers to alleviate poverty. I co-created Virtual Farmers’ Market, an online agriculture trading platform. I played a key role from ideation, prototyping, acquiring beta users, product development to reaching revenue generating users while focusing on human centered design approach and lean start-up principles. I was promoted to team leader in December 2017 for the scaling-up of the programme. As part of rural resilience building team, I also contributed to reduce post harvest loss (PHL) by providing training and creating supply & demand for PHL equipment. Accomplishments:• Launched an e-commerce app called Maano in less than 5 months and connected 4,000 rural Zambian farmers with regional pulses markets.• Mobile money payments to 50 rural communities.• Digital Financial Services to increase agricultural outcomes' panelist at USAID Digital Development Forum-Zambia• Certified Zero Hunger Supervisor.

Moshi Rural, Kilimanjaro, Tanzania

NEI is a social enterprise that produces ethically sourced, sustainably grown natural extracts and flavour ingredients. I revitalized spice value chains in Tanzania and created added value through a processing plant for vanilla extracts and other flavours. I had the autonomy to shape the company while directly reporting to the board. I was responsible for all aspects of the company: operations, people management, finances, recruitment and mentoring of staff while focusing on social impact. During my tenure I strengthened the links with smallholders by capacity building, crop productivity and water for agriculture projects.Accomplishments:• Won Created Shared Value prize from Nestle in 2016 for the positive impact in smallholder livelihoods.• Awarded 400,000 USD grant from African Enterprise Challenge Fund.• Launched 6 new natural food flavours between 2014 and 2016.• Doubled revenues every year for 3 consecutive years.• Established supply chain to positively impact 1,200 smallholder farmers.• Played a key role in the transition to digital Farmer Information Management System and the transition of financials, production and CRM to an ERP software system• Instituted operational rigor for the systematic production of high quality, all natural flavour extracts in two new production lines

MFK is dedicated to saving the lives of Haiti’s malnourished children and other nutritionally vulnerable people by developing, producing and distributing highly nutritious foods, including Ready-to-Use Therapeutic Food. I provided strategic direction and leadership for the organization consisting of 50 employees. I oversaw production planning, operations, sales, marketing, budgeting, and administration while handling human resources, financials, external relations, representation and networking. Under my direction I promoted local sourcing of peanuts and other ingredients.Accomplishments:• Revenues increased by 75 % under my leadership (5M USD in 2013). • Classified MFK as a World Food Programme's supplier.• Commercialized a new snack product.• Increased revenues from key accounts by 40 %. • Scaled up peanut outgrower programme in Haiti.

Vedanta is a global diversified metals and mining company. I joined Vedanta as a Graduate Engineer - to collect, manage and analyse plant performance data. I quickly became Production Shift In Charge and start managing an interdisciplinary team of twenty people to achieve production targets. My responsibilities included production planning and plant operations management of a lead smelter.Accomplishments:• Achieved plant availability of 96 %.• An increase of 20 % in annual production volume for two consecutive years (60,000MT in 2010).• Three times prize winner for delivering continuous improvement projects.• Reduced production variability, defects, downtime and waste resulted in savings of more than 150,000 USD.
