Contribute to the group meetings with scientific findings and literature on organic and medicinal chemistry. • Executed multi-step synthesis, purification and characterization of complex heterocycles, boronic acids, and peptides resulting in a focused library of 300 novel small molecules to address specific goals of the lead optimization, based on SAR and drug like properties.• Investigated transition metal catalyzed reactions in the development of chemical probes in parallel in an effort to study novel anti-cancer target led to potent compounds with improved cell permeability and ADME properties. • Contributed to the synthetic route design of C5 position of 3-hydroxypyrimidine-2, 4-dione (HPD) resulting in the critical redesign of the HPD chemotype subtype with improved RNase H inhibition and significant antiviral activity. • Integrated and analyzed structure-activity relationship (SAR), ADME data sets to design compounds with optimized potency and desirable properties to deliver multiple lead series for RT associated RNase H, HCMV and TDP2.•Served as a lab safety officer for the medicinal chemistry group.
