As a Witness Service volunteer I undertook training in providing confidential information and guidance in order to support witnesses to give their best evidence in court. I explained court procedure, legal terminology and outcomes. Alongside offering emotional support, it was an important aspect of this position to have identified risks or safeguarding issues, as well as providing onward referrals for additional support where required.

I work one-to-one with young learners. Whilst following a curriculum I always ensure I am tailoring and adapting lesson materials to each individual, extending learning and involving the child’s interests where possible.- Focused on positive reinforcement and confidence building - Requires flexibility and spontaneity alongside organization – no two lessons are ever the same, and nothing is more unpredictable than a child!
