I am a certified counsellor practicing since 2010 with several organisations in Bangalore. I have also worked in Shanghai while residing there. Over a period of one year, I had helped staff a “Youth Child Helpline” in Bangalore, meant to reduce stress amongst young adults and children. This was a new initiative managed under the Parivarthan umbrella, in which I was involved from the beginning including raising the first investment tranche, collected through a community effort. This helpline has flourished providing help and succor to hundreds so far and also covered by Chai With Lakshmi.I have worked with a few Corporations, Start-Ups & Educational institutions (eg: Logica, ConnectM) and dealt with workplace-related issues, cross-cultural clients including expats, referred to me in Bangalore and Shanghai.I believe in using the ideology of a “Client Centric approach”, to help enable the client take steps themselves in overcoming challenges - it promotes self reliance and reduces dependency on the counsellor.I am a trained counsellor from Parivarthan Counselling Training and Research Centre, Bangalore. Parivarthan is an organizational member of the British Association for Counseling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I am trained in Integral Somatic Psychology (ISP) by Dr. Raja Selvam. ISP is recognised as a very effective form of psychotherapy and is known to be helpful in showing positive improvements in the clients in a short period.
