Highly motivated, innovative, and adaptable geologist with over 6 years of experience. Member of the Institute of Geologists of Sri Lanka (IGSL) and after my bachelor's degree, I worked as an engineering geologist at Moragahakanda-Kaluganga Hydropower project and enhanced my knowledge in geotechnical engineering aspects including tunnel face mapping, rock slope mapping, and drilling & core logging. In 2019, I joined the Geological Survey and Mines Bureau in Sri Lanka and I have been involved in field surveys to explore the availability of mineral resources and their economic viability. My experience in GSMB as a geologist further enhanced my skills in geological mapping, core logging, auger sampling, surveying, and technical report writing. Furthermore, have experience in geophysical surveys (IP, resistivity, and magnetic) and have enhanced my knowledge of seismology by participating in international workshops in seismic data interpretation and earthquake monitoring. Currently, working as a field geologist and have been working in different terrains in Australia.
