In my role as Linux Administrator L2 Support for UPI, I take ownership of critical support tasks to ensure smooth, secure, and efficient transaction processes. My responsibilities include:Server Health & Performance: Monitoring Linux environments to maintain seamless operations, manage system load, and troubleshoot bottlenecks, ensuring reliable UPI service availability.Process and Application Oversight: Managing key UPI application processes, with a focus on Java-based services, handling PIDs, and tracking associated ports to maintain high performance.Resolving Incidents Quickly: Responding to and diagnosing issues related to UPI transactions, including errors, timeouts, and other application or database-related failures to minimize downtime.Analyzing Logs: Using logs to track errors, understand transaction flow, and improve service efficiency by identifying and resolving recurring issues.Backup & Recovery Management: Performing regular backups of vital configurations and data to prevent loss and enable fast recovery if needed.Deploying Updates & Patches: Ensuring all updates and patches are implemented accurately, working closely with the dev team to maintain a secure and compliant payment processing environment.Security & Compliance Focus: Upholding secure configurations and adhering to PCI DSS compliance standards to ensure secure transaction processing.Automating Key Processes: Developing and implementing shell scripts to automate repetitive tasks like service restarts, log cleanups, and health checks to improve efficiency.Documenting and Collaborating: Documenting systems, troubleshooting methods, and processes, while collaborating with teams to meet UPI service requirements.Performance Optimization: Regularly reviewing resource usage to recommend and implement optimizations that enhance transaction speed and efficiency for UPI users.

In my role as an Application Support Engineer for UPI and mobile banking, I focused on ensuring smooth service functionality and supporting end-users by diagnosing and resolving technical issues in real time. I monitored and optimized application performance, worked closely with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot incidents, and conducted log analysis to identify and resolve recurring issues.
