A dream came true for me . Work for money can make you only a Master but work for satisfaction can make you a legend . Masters are everywhere whereas legends are rare . Looking for a place to work for satisfaction and I was fully blessed to work in L&T and scale up to a Chief Financial Officer / Chief Risk Officer and CXO position for a mega infrastructure project . For the first time a project of this scale was agreed to be executed on PPP mode against innumerable challenges from all walks of life . Each challenge gave me a lesson and made me strong . The State has unshakable faith in an Institution called Larsen & Toubro who can only execute a project of high magnitude with passion and commitment . L&T has proved it with many laurels even during the construction stage. The only mission of L&T to bring cheers on every hyderabadi in ease of commuting and live a quality life has been achieved on Nov 27th 2017 by opening 30km longest ever made Metro Rail Connect . The smile on every commuter gives us immense satisfaction that we would be remembered for generations for having given an excellent deliverable.

Bhubaneswar - Odisha

First Time L&T had entered in a JV with TATA Steel to build a mega port on the seabed of the river Dhamra in Bhadrak district , Bhubaneswar . The challenges had started from the day one of boomi puja . Olive Ridley Turtles , located nearby missile centre , land acquisition for construction of a Port , NGOs hostile reception to build a port - all rendered sleepless nights . Dhamra is one of the deep draft ports of India with a draft of 18 meters, which can accommodate super cape-size vessels up to 180,000 DWT. It is an all-weather, multi-user, multi-cargo port with a potential to handle more than 100 MMTPA of dry bulk, liquid bulk, break bulk, containerized and general cargo.Situated between Haldia and Paradeep, Dhamra Port is well sheltered between the mainland and Kanika Sands Island on the mouth of the river Dhamra. The location of Dhamra is in close proximity to the mineral belt of Orissa, Jharkhand and West Bengal and its dedicated connectivity will help serve this hinterland with the greatest efficiency. The project had offered me excellent platform to covert every adversity into an opportunity . Integrated the minds of the people and worked relentlessly to see the project was commissioned against innumerable challenges .... Never Ever Give Up is the key takeaway from this wonderful project.

L&T had invested in setting up a world class , state of art technology glass plant in Nashik mainly to cater to industries like liquor, beer, beverages, soft drinks, processed foods, pharmaceuticals and cosmetics. On-line automatic inspection system to ensure consistent quality. State-of-the-art CAD / CAM facility to design articles in a variety of shapes. The plant was the largest manufacturer of Glass making machines in India. Provides turnkey solutions for setting up new glass plants. One of the largest exporters in the Indian Glass Industry. Exports to Australia, Bangladesh, China, Malaysia, Russia, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Singapore and many more. Acknowledged market leader in India producing 6 million bottles a day ranging from 5 ml to 3200 ml. Caters to leading Companies like Coca Cola, Dabur, Horlicks, Lakme, Nestle, Pepsi and a host of brand names around the world. A 320 melting furnace was a challenge for then prevailing market conditions . L&T proved to be the leader even in this non-core business which was later sold out on a good valuation. Union problems , difficult market , limited moulds , huge furnace , working culture were some challenges but sailed through the tough time with ease by the freedom offered by L&T and faith in me to tide over the issues .
