Undertook 12 weeks of 'Engineering Practical Experience'​ as part of university studies. The project was focused on developing a system which improves amateur catamaran race safety, by tracking individual vessels as well as their situational awareness information. The system has come to be known as the 'Networked Yacht Sensor Suite'​ (NYSS).
