I'm in the midst of tuning my varied background in environmental chemistry and science and technology startups into a new company focused in the Green and efficiency movement. My new company is helping businesses and consumers understand how to lead greener lives by using less resources, causing less and less harmful waste, reducing their exposure to harmful substances and ultimately saving them a lot of money.Our focus is on a "Green Audit" that we use as a planning tool to prioritize and get our customer started making their lives and businesses better. Our audit assess energy efficiency, environmental impact and any potential safety or health issues. We take the information from the audit and working with our customer form an action plan prioritizing the things that can be done. These actions are attached to sources of funding like federal, state and local incentives, cost savings and even energy efficiency mortgages so that people have the ability to actually complete the work.
