He served in various executive roles including 27 years as Chief Financial Officer in the Indianapolis market as well as eight years as Vice President for strategy and business development.A leader in health system financial management, planning and development of new services, and growing and improving existing services, he has a track record of measurable success driving profit improvement, growth strategy, cost control and financial stability.Jay has worked to create partnerships to drive growth and service improvement and is well versed in health system operations and information technology planning and strategies. He has more than 37 years of payor contracting and developing payor/provider partnerships.Additionally, Jay is a leader in accountable care and propelled his former organization forward to initiate and transform their business model to an accountable care organization (ACO) with successful partnerships with CMS and large healthcare organizations. With a track record of overcoming barriers and creating buy-in across the enterprise, he is recognized as an expert and persuasive leader within the ACO landscape. Jay earned a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, both from Ball State University. He is also a Certified Public Accountant and fellow and certified manager of patient accounts with the Healthcare Financial Management Association. He has served on several boards including the board of provider sponsored health plans for 25 years.
