A transfer agent is appointed by a securities-issuing entity to maintain the issuer’s records relating to its investors, their account balances and transactions, to issue and cancel securities certificates, process investor mailings, and resolve investor issues (i.e., lost or stolen certificates).

Valiant Trust Company was a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Canadian Western Bank (TSX-CWB). I was accountable for corporate strategy, people, compliance, client services, sales, and operations of Valiant. I was also a member of the CWB Group Leadership, Operational Risk and Trust Services Committees. Computershare (ASX-CPU) acquired Valiant’s transfer agent, corporate trust and employee plans business for $33 million on May 1, 2015.

Most Financial was a private equity firm specializing in financial services, equity investment, restructuring, and bridge and subordinated debt financing. I was personally accountable for strategy, leadership, corporate governance, financing, contracts and policy for the portfolio of companies, limited partnerships, and other related investments.Selected highlights:• President & CEO, Fish Creek Excavating – Acquired 90% in 2007. COR certification obtained, and major clients included Encana and Husky.• Advisor / Interim CFO to SKMG Construction – Startup General Contractor specializing in water treatment, high-rise, and commercial construction.
