GD-Page Europa has been subcontracted by local Abu Dhabi group Al Jaber-Global Intelligent Systems JV (Al Jaber-GIS JV) to provide the Port Special Systems (PSS) for Phase 1 of the Khalifa Port in the United Arab Emirates. The PSS project includes design, procurement, integration and installation of the telecommunications, security and control systems for the onshore and offshore areas of Khalifa Port and forms part of a contract awarded to Al Jaber-GIS JV by ADPC (Abu Dhabi Ports Company). Duties and Responsibilities:- Ensure all the required shop drawings and material submittals are approved.- Closely monitor site activities, fully coordinate with PMC discipline engineers, on a daily basis issuing NCR’s in case of non-compliance and reporting to Project Manager in case of shortage of skilled labourers and/or site supervision staff.- Review Inspection, Test, Plans as submitted by the Contractors and ensure compliance with contracts requirements.- Check all materials and equipment as delivered on site and ensure its compliance with approved materials and specification.- Ensure the work area is safe and that all constraints on operations have been identified and precautions are taken.- Arrange all necessary personnel, plant equipment and services as required for the works and ensure that adequate lighting, temporary power (where applicable) and specific arrangements are in place.- Ensure scaffold & access platforms are in accordance with the approved safety procedures.- Attend all activities on site and ensure their compliance with QAQC procedure in respect of the format signed off by QAQC Manager.- Ensure the correct cable fixings are utilized and under no circumstances are over tightened such that there is no degradation in the performance of the system.- Hold tool box talks and complete the STARRT (Safety Task Assignment, Risk Reduction Talks) card prior to commencing any task.

Set-up and manages the Subcontractor resources for Constructions & Installation of the subsystem equipment relevant the AFC, Communication and SCADA systems for the predefined Stations of Red Line and Green Line up to System Mechanical Completion and visual check.
