Mentoring and Coaching Leadership at 3 Manufacturing PlantsOverall Responsibility for Operations - Maintenance, Production, and AdministrationCreated training program for new hires, as well as providing systems training for all company employees for ERP system (Microsoft NAV), Customer Relationship Manager (Microsoft CRM), and production management software (AMS Eclipse).Replaced two Plant Managers with their Superintendents to facilitate Safety and Cultural changes within the organization. Improved turnover at one plant from over 60% to under 25% within a month. Coached new leaders to implement Continuous Improvement policies, and then helped to see them through. Implemented daily stand-up meetings at the start of shift utilizing automated reports for the Machine Operators. Numbers were not discussed in the group unless they were outstanding. Poor performers were coached privately. Supervisors and Managers were coached to focus on one outstanding issue, and to drive improvement on that issue for a number of weeks. Then, progress was measured before bouncing to a different problem to see if the improvement actually brought about change in the right direction. This was to teach everyone what changes were right for the organization, and then to help highlight how those changes might be applied to benefit us in other areas.We brought accountability to all levels of the organization. This meant everyone was safe to speak their mind without fear of retribution, but in an atmosphere of teamwork where positive changes could occur.
