The strategic hurdle Vinventions faced in 2019 was breaking out of the still wine segment and penetrating… Show more Vinventions was formed in 2017 through a private equity backed purchase of Nomacorc to leverage the international distribution footprint and diversify the closure product offering beyond inserted synthetic cork to include screw caps, natural cork, and derivatives. The investment included acquisitions of Syntek in France, Ohlinger in Germany, and Alplast in Italy during my tenure. The strategic hurdle Vinventions faced in 2019 was breaking out of the still wine segment and penetrating spirits. In a contract relationship reporting to the GM, I developed a Bar Top shank with R&D and Operations from 2019-21 and launched in conjunction with Guala Closures and Sazerac for Seagram’s VO brand. Neutralis provides extruded technology and plant-based LDPE sustainability benefits to consumers. The project is now in the initial commercialization and expansion phase.
