About Jay Cummins

I help wine, spirits, distribution, and technology organizations get to the bottom of difficult sales issues then deliver focused market execution. I have built high performance sales and marketing teams for global family owned and private equity backed organizations that executed growth beyond expectations:*National wine and spirit suppliers and distributors (Gallo, Sazerac, and Julius Schepps) with responsibility for annual revenues in excess of $500M*Start-up innovation in the still wine closure field (Nomacorc) that grew to over $150M in 10 years*Start-up spirits innovation (Next Century Spirits) from ground zero to $5M in 3 years. Growth strategies implemented resulted in mergers and private equity buy outs at Schepps and Nomacorc that formed Republic Beverage (now RNDC) and Vinventions. I've reported to the CEO for each firm over the past 30 years with direct reports ranging from 4 to 10 people. Throughout my career I’ve focused on strategies and team building that resulted in award-winning product diversification, innovation, and sustainability initiatives; and have grown key relationships with large global wine and spirits companies.I've had considerable experience delivering growth through direct and distributor sales models internationally in Latin America, Australia, Western Europe (Germany, France, Italy, Spain), UK, South Africa, Japan, New Zealand, Canada, and India.
