Graduating with a Biology degree and a 3.5/4.0 GPA from Florida Gulf Coast University in August 2023, I am a dedicated professional with a clear goal of attending dental school to become a DDS or DMD. I've gained skills as a Clinical Research Associate at The Foundation for Sickle Cell Disease Research. I collaborate with pharmaceutical companies like Pfizer on clinical trials to expand insight and potential treatments and cures for diseases like Sickle Cell Anemia.My academic journey included impactful research experiences, such as DNA extraction and analysis, species identification of native and invasive organisms in our local environment, and studying the parasitic fauna in reptiles. Beyond academia, I've actively contributed to the community as Secretary of the SoulFlowers student organization—a leadership and service organization dedicated to education, community outreach, and environmental awareness. Through SoulFlowers, we earned the Program of the Year 2023 award by organizing events focused on HIV and sexual health awareness. Eager to continue my commitment to giving back to the community, I focus on transitioning to dental school and pursuing a career as a dentist with a strong foundation in laboratory science.
