Head Of Production & Collaborated Change Communications Lead
CurrentI’m currently a senior manager in a department of 30+ creative, award-winning comms professionals who support frontline policing on a day to day basis - whether that’s dealing with major incidents that affect the whole county, issues that pose significant reputational risk to the Force, visits from government officials including local MPs, the Policing Minister, and the Prime Minister and Home Secretary, and everything in between. Most recently I have worked across two Force areas as Collaborated Change Communications Lead providing strategic and tactical advice to support transformation programmes landing to over 10,000 colleagues. These transformation programmes may be legally mandated, technology-based, or critical incident related, including the rapid relocation of 500+ staff. I acted as a strategic lead for the Covid communications response for both Surrey Police and Sussex Police, communicating to around 2.5 million people in a rapidly changing and highly scrutinised sector - managing competing demands and priorities.I have a history of delivering high-value projects including creating a new digital public contact team, during the pandemic, to respond to emergency and non-emergency calls for assistance; onboarding to a nationally delivered website; a SharePoint-based intranet for 10,000 colleagues; and streamlining internal processes and identifying demand sources within our department. In my role as Head of Production I also developed a team working internally as a design agency, this model has since become nationally recognised; I oversaw the rebranding of our corporate identity, and have led on several high-profile, multichannel campaigns receiving sector-wide recognition.I deputise for the Head of Corporate Comms as required, have navigated departmental change programmes and restructures supporting colleagues, and regularly provide strategic advice at C-suite and national policy level.
