After 20 + years employed, I took the leap and co-founded two businesses with my partner, a natural progression after 10 years working within an award-winning business support organisation.One focuses on helping companies recover monies owed, (several industries, but I mainly focus on the charitable sector) and the other drives my passion for property through a HMO management company specialising in social housing tenants. Throughout my career, I have always identified that people and helping others are central to my needs.My journey began in Recruitment and then into HR, where I served as Group HR & Recruitment Manager for a growing financial services firm in Blackburn. During this time, I completed CIPD Level 5 and expanded the team from 40 to 150 in less than 2 years. Subsequently, at Community & Business Partners CIC (CBP), I progressed from Operations Manager to Operations Director and ultimately to Managing Director. At CBP, we supported hundreds of businesses across Lancashire and the Northwest through dedicated one-on-one support and group-based peer support with our team of business mentors. Internationally, we collaborated with the Home Office to support global entrepreneurship, bringing innovative startups to the UK and providing ongoing mentoring to ensure their success.I value my network immensely and believe in giving back to our communities and charitable organisations. I serve as a board trustee for several charities, demonstrating my commitment to making a positive impact and utilising all my years in business to help guide others.
