Hi, I am Jaydeep Sharma, a final year undergraduate student at IIT Bombay, majoring in Energy Science and Engineering alongside a minor in Business Management. I am keenly interested in energy and environment policy, economics, finance and resource management.My recent experience at J-PAL (MIT) as a research and policy intern in the Emissions Trading Schemes(ETS) Project allowed me to perform hands-on work in the development and policy sector, including responsibilities ranging from project management and data analysis to stakeholder engagement and project expansion strategies. Besides this, my experiences as a research intern at CEEW in the Centre for Energy Finance Team and a research intern in a Niti Aayog Project earlier this year have equipped me with sharp data handling and interpretation skills. I am proficient in Python and MS Excel and have experience in management, organisation, and public speaking.In my institute, I have served as an editor in Insight, the Official media body of IIT Bombay. Here, I had numerous opportunities to analyse relevant real-life issues in the institute and bring them to social light through articles and blogs. Along with this, I have held various other positions of responsibility, including Director of Asia's Largest Debate Tournament in 2021. I've been fortunate to participate and excel at debate tournaments worldwide. These experiences have given me a unique platform to engage with some of the sharpest minds worldwide and have broadened my horizons. I look forward to continuing on this exciting arc and solving real-life business and sustainability problems through my future work-related endeavours.
