HSE MANAGER – LIST OF DUTIES− Ensure the health and safety and all employees− Onboarding (cross-over with HR/Admin/Supers)− Coordinate with field project managers/supervisors to ensure effective implementation of HSE program− Investigate all near misses, incidents, reports of violence/harassment− Track and trend leading and lagging indicators− Track and trend statistics− Create and roll-out initiatives based on trends− Create and roll-out training as required (i.e. Supervisor training, PPE care, use and maintenance, etc.)− Book or delegate booking of external training courses− Conduct COR audits and ensure company SMS meets or exceeds COR requirements− Create and maintain policies, procedures, and processes− Create, roll-out and train on new initiatives/programs based on incidents, industry best practices, etc.− Be up to date on new technologies, PPE, industry standards, legal cases, etc. that impact the organization and suggest changes in supply chain when beneficial− Ensure everyone is trained on their responsibilities in an emergency and conduct mock emergency drills− Be knowledgeable of and ensure adherence to NFPA 10, OHS Act, Reg and Code, PIPA, HIA, etc.− Liaise with client HSE representatives− Report incidents to OHS, WCB, AEPEA as required− Fleet tracking and maintenance− PPE tracking and maintenance (harnesses, lanyards, etc.)− Ensure required documentation is posted in office and at all applicable work sites
