I am currently a first-year medical student at the University of Sydney. I previouslyworked as an early career researcher the at the Nuffield Department ofClinical Neurosciences, a department at the University of Oxford, up until the end ofJanuary 2020. I am passionate about researching and learning about the diseasemechanisms and identifying potential cures for Motor Neuron Disease and otherneurological disorders, with a particular interest in the involvement of neuroinflammationand its role in disease. It is my career goal to identify potential disease modifiers in MNDby targeting neuroinflammatory processes. I also wish to translate the research skills gained in Oxford to a clinical position in the future, following on from my clinical training at the University of Sydney.
