I am an aspiring PhD student with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Presbyterian College and currently a PREP Candidate at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC). My research, primarily conducted under Dr. Jen Rinker’s lab, has focused on the intricate role of CRF in the mPFC during Alcohol Use Disorder, which I have presented at multiple symposiums.In addition to this, I have hands-on experience conducting rodent behavioral experiments, utilizing advanced imaging techniques for brain tissue analysis, and exploring the reactivity states of tellurium under the supervision of Dr. Caleb Tatebe. These experiences have honed my skills in experimental design, data collection, analysis, and scientific documentation for reproducibility.I aim to pursue a PhD to deepen my understanding of biochemistry and neuroscience, contributing to groundbreaking research and innovation in these fields. I am passionate about pushing the boundaries of scientific knowledge and dedicated to developing the meticulous and insightful skills needed to become a successful scientist.
