Front End Manager
Current• managing cashiers and parking lot attendants, giving breaks, dividing where to go, and assigningthem tasks• handling ANY situation the cashiers needed help with, ex. if a item wasn’t scanning, refunds, or ifsomeone started to escalate a situation• keeping watch of store operations, ex. how many customers there are, when we need more itemssuch as buggies or baskets, making sure customers are finding things they need, communicating withother managers if something happens• making sure cashiers money drawers were not running low or had too much money• answering phone calls from customers inquiring about different items in the store or about a problemthey had• occasionally opening the store and opening the office for the day and settling all the money pans• closing the store, making sure all cleaning responsibilities are done thoroughly, no customers in thestore, all money pans locked away, making sure cashiers completed closing responsibilities• counting the money pans and follow through if a pan is short or over• verified checks at registers when customers paid• acting as cashier when short handed or having a busy day• if cashier is late or missing, follow through with a phone call and write appropriate reports for saidmissing cashier• helping clean during closing responsibilities• ordering supplies needed for the department• occasionally helping other departments, such as personal shopping and gas station, bakery, andstocking• making sure all employees under my supervision were where they were supposed to be at all times,and reprimanding them appropriately• reporting to higher management regularly regarding the front end and what was happening so theywere consistently in the loop• occasionally assisting in training of new employees
