I graduated from the University of Queensland with a dual bachelor degree in Mechanical and Materials Engineering. During my studies I also worked for Packaging and Machinery Solutions where I developed an inventory database for stocktake and designed and devloped modifications for packaging and pneumatic systems. Once I graduated in 2015 I began working for AE Smith as a graduate mechanical services engineer and was located on site for the full design, construction and commissioning of James Cook University, The Science Place. This gave me hands on experience with chilled water systems as well as pressure testing building envelopes and PC2 lab control. I then worked on various defence projects which included specialised exhaust systems and island mode operations.In 2018 I joined Bestec and was trained in Thermal, Energy, greenhouse gas and chiller performance modelling. I also greatly developed my understanding of the design of chilled water and refrigeration HVAC systems, carpark exhaust and smoke hazard management. I also gained experience with house energy rating software and energy audits. During my time at Bestec I worked on various projects which were designed to target NatHERS, NABERS, Greenstar & LEED criteria.My latest role is as the Senior Engineer for OP Industries, Adelaide office.I assist with estimating reviews, manage engineering workloads, perform engineering design reviews, heatload calculations and alternative system proposals.I also developed systems for ISO9001 & ISO45001 allowing OP Industries Adelaide to be QA certified and prequalified for level 3 goverment projects.
