Growing up, I was often told I was bossy, whether it be in the classroom or in my very own household. Teachers would often tell my parents “In group activities, Jayden frequently commands her peers to do what she thinks will work best.” Although I still boss my younger sister around to this very day, over the years I have acquired the ability to not only fulfill a leadership role, but to also delegate tasks efficiently. From table groups in fourth grade, to Zoom breakout rooms during online school, to my developing high school business team, I have learned that delegating tasks is a crucial skill reflected in any leader and business. Being able to empower and enable my team members to reach their full potential is what I find to be the most fulfilling part of stepping into any leadership role.
