I was contracted by the Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) to help administer one of their websites -- the Volunteer Hub. The Hub is an online tool that Western Australia's 32,000 volunteer emergency services personnel use to access resources, information, training, news and much more. I was chiefly responsible for planning, moderating, coordinating and publishing web content, moderating and publishing documents, training coworkers to use our systems, and monitoring the performance and quality of the Hub.- Writing, editing, planning, publishing and auditing web content, including news, events, banners, landing pages, etc.- Moderating and publishing documents, ensuring that they comply with statutory and organisational requirements around branding, accessibility and accountability.- Training DFES staff to use the Volunteer Hub front end, its CMS (Sitefinity) and its document management system (Sharepoint).- Monitoring the performance of the website, ensuring it is fully functional, reporting any errors.
