During this period, I played a key role in maintaining the data for all our employees that had Life and Disability class licenses across all 50 states. We established and maintained information and processes related to the application of the initial state license with Utah, and additional licenses with each state. Additionally, we tracked 25-30 insurance carriers’ appointment to insurance agent process for each of those states. I inherited a Microsoft Access database with SharePoint integrations and integrations with several online services. We were checking the state licensing websites for approvals, we were manually populating forms, and we need a crew of 4-8 people at 80+ hours per week during our big hiring process. Through careful planning with developers, we built in-house applications that check license status against the NIPR api. We also automated the filling and signing of forms to take the previous crew of people down from 6 people at 80 hours a week to 4 people at 35 hours per week to complete all the paperwork. This completely automated my job and I was let go due to automation of my job.
