I’m a fourth-year student at Durham University studying Aeronautical (Mechanical) Engineering. I look forward to researching and experimenting for my dissertation titled “Stall Delay and Dynamic Stall with Transient Onset Incidence”. In this project, I will be using CFD and doing first-of-its-kind experimentation in the Durham University 2m wind tunnel using so-called “turbulence generation” to assess the dynamic nature of stall with a changing onset angle of incidence on a stationary aerofoil. I am excited about the hands-on approach I will be able to take to drive my project forward.Outside of my degree, I am a part of the Durham University Solar Car team. We are designing a single-person solar-powered EV to compete in an endurance race in Australia. Further, I enjoy attending webinars to keep up to date with exciting developments across the world of Engineering.I also commit a significant portion of my time to Durham University Hockey Club. This year I am proudly captaining the Men's 1st XI, hoping to lead the team to promotion into the England Hockey Premier Division, and to BUCS National Gold.Academic Achievements:Degree classification: 1st Class (predicted)Trevelyan Academic Scholar for achieving 85% and 81% in years 1 and 2 at University.A-levels: 4A*s, Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Chemistry.GCSEs: 10A*s at GCSE & A in level-2 additional mathematics qualification.
