He has been at the heart of Digital Business in the Middle East for over 17 years, Jay Desai co-founded Tattoo, a digital agency that he sold to the WPP group in 2007. Tattoo, with its acquisition, became a Wunderman company in the Middle East and has been successfully delivering digital platforms, solutions, and marketing services to the Arab world and MNCs operating in the region. Some of the clientele include HH Sheikh Mohammed, RSA, Jotun, Land Rover, Adidas, Nestle, Dubai Chamber, Ministry of Economy, Unilever and many more. In 2006, he was awarded by The International Web Marketing Association for his outstanding achievement in Online Advertising as a 2006 IAC Awards Judge. He has also won global and regional awards such as the Dubai Lynx, Effies, Festival of Media Global Awards and Campaign magazine. As an entrepreneur, he has been involved in all the aspects of running large successful companies from the preparation of investment and decision cases to financial budgeting and forecasting, sales and marketing, business development and personnel management.
