I am a licensed City Planner II with the City of Cedar Falls. I am originally from India and am a licensed Architect in India. With an architectural design background and the goal of community development at a broader level, I pursued two master's degrees in Urban Design and Community and Regional Planning from Iowa State University. Alongside my full-time job, I also pursued another master's degree in Project Management from Harrisburg University of Science and Technology to acquire management skills. I believe in continuous learning and growth. I have a unique skill set of designing, planning and managing projects with both strong software, and communication skills. I also have experience of working and managing projects in India, wherein I have designed and managed several urban projects including an Indoor Sports Complex, the Rehabilitation of a lake, an Eco-Tourism Resort, K-12 campus design, Community Housing Development and Temple Complexes. I am passionate about Master Planning, Real Estate Development, Walkable City, Missing Middle Housing, Mixed-use development, and Placemaking. I am also engaged in mentoring young minds and also associated with APA's Design Thinking in Planning Interest Group. I am keen to apply my diverse education and experience to creating vibrant communities. My work motto lies in working with a multi-disciplinary approach to make the world a better place to live, work, and rejoice. In my leisure time, I enjoy watching sports, food, traveling, and photography.
