I currently serve as the IT Director for Liebert Cassidy Whitmore, responsible for the strategic direction and daily operations of the firm's information technology with full decision-making authority. I lead a team of 6 IT professional staff to ensure our attorneys and support staff are provided the highest level of technical expertise, support, best-practice and technologies in service for the firm's clients. I oversee the firm's technology budget, negotiate service contracts with vendors and manage application subscriptions. I also act as the firm's data security officer ensuring full compliance with industry standard security practices and protocols. From 2016-2017, I served briefly as Practice Group Technology Manager supporting the firm's practice groups with specific focus on litigation support and eDiscovery. Prior to that, I was the firm's IT Director since 2001 where my duties included the strategic and practical direction of the firm's network infrastructure and security, document/records/email management systems, desktop applications, unified communications and mobile technology. In that role, I established the firm's IT policies and procedures, systems documentation, disaster recovery strategy, as well overseeing the IT budget. I joined LCW in 1997 to support its ERC training services before formerly establishing the firm's IT Department in 2001 as IT Director. In 2015, I left LCW to assume an IT Manager position at Summit Law Group in Seattle. In 2016, I returned to Liebert Cassidy Whitmore to assume the Practice Group Technology position. Before working in legal technology, I worked for advertising and graphic design firms and was the Editorial Director for a non-profit organization in Los Angeles. I'm an active member of the International Legal Technology Association (ILTA) and have presented at their annual conference. I have Microsoft MCITP Certifications in Network Administration and Windows Systems.
