Specializing in debt & equity finance, Jaye advises clients on the optimal real estate debt stack during acquisition and refinance. He has over ten years of experience navigating clients through complex financing originating over $1B of debt. His market knowledge, detailed process, and effective negotiating have helped clients advance their goals, achieve efficiency and cost-savings within their portfolio. Jaye’s clients have included REITs, family offices, developers, and private landlords.Prior to joining Avison Young, Jaye was a Real Estate Director at RBC. At RBC, Jaye created the framework for CMHC financing in Western Canada. He was responsible for business development in construction and term financing. Other relevant experience included 10 years at another leading Canadian financial institute and Alberta based credit union. He has been involved with structuring debt on all asset classes across Canada from Halifax to Victoria.Jaye holds an MBA with a finance specialization from the University of Calgary. He later served as a professional advisor for the U of C Student team during the ULI Hines student competition, of which the team received an honorable mention.
