In 2018 a consortium of partners, led by the RSPB, will take over guardianship of Sherwood Forest, collectively dedicated to protecting and enhancing the forest, its legends, and the experience of visitors, for now and for generations to come.

Raising in excess of £1.5 million from grant giving bodies, including the Heritage Lottery and various Landfill Communities Fund, Statutory Organisations and Charitable Trusts. Claiming over £1 million for the RSPB and partners over a wide range of projects involving internal staff and project partners.Setting up grant contracts and meeting with a range of funders for progress and setup meetings. Managing budgets of large multi funded projects using these as a tool to monitor spend progress and forecast spending. Liaising with senior reserve area managers to identify projects and write applications to cover off core running costs of the reserves. Worked on setting up a £1.5 million project budget tracking sheet on a partnership project. I am currently managing multiple live grants which involves liaising with funders and working really closely with project teams to compile reports and financial grant claims.I have gained extensive project management experience in this role and have been involved in a number of capital, revenue and partnership project both focusing on project development and project delivery. As part of my project management experience I have been a part of developing relationships with partners outside and within the third sector.

Raising £22,900 from grant giving bodies and trusts.Involved in multiple grant claims helping bank £300,000 of grant income. Devising and implementing a more strategic charitable trust fundraising plan. Raising unrestricted income through trust fundraising. Producing a clear timeline of trust applications to increase trust donations. Dealing with complicated project budgets, including the creation of a project cash flow spreadsheet to manage project spend. Working with a variety of regional and non regional staff to manage a £300k project budget. Improving and maintaining the regional grant planner in order to keep accurate records of grant income and application planning used to feed back to the regional director to monitor progress against fundraising targets of income. Working closely with the fundraising team to support grant applications and grant claims. Working with reserve teams to identify projects for funding. Working closely with the funding development team on a £300k project application.
