I am a rising senior in the Haslam College of Business at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville working toward a business degree with a double major in Finance and Supply Chain Management with a collateral in Sales. I have always been an analytical, restorative high achiever and proving so is one of my strengths. In my position as an assistant manager at BP Gas station I was able to problem solve any issues and always surpass expectations. I continue to do so in my current role as Event Logistics Director of the Indian American Association and my role as Vice President of Affairs of the Asian Business Club. For example, my role as Event Logistics Director for the Indian American Association gives me experience managing a $15,000+ budget and managing a 40+ person team, while my position as Vice President of Affairs for the Asian Business Club has prepared me for new experiences and shown me what it is like to start something on my own and get it up and running. Competition and striving to be my best as well as meeting new people and facing challenges are also strengths of mine. I recently was training new employees in my floor manager position at US Pharmacy, where I am constantly working with new people and striving to improve and consistently am praised by the owner for my customer satisfaction.Some of my business interests include learning about the ins and out of the financial market and the logistical applications of channeling systems. My experiences with leadership, logistics, and database systems have prepared me to pursue a career in business analytics and supply chain management. In my experiences as a supply chain intern at the Frito-Lay Headquarters, I was able to enhance many of my skills including database visualization, power automation, and presentation. Networking in that corporate environment was the perfect preparation for future roles and responsibilities. One of my career goals is to go to graduate school to obtain my master’s in business administration. Another is to obtain a job with potential to eventually become a leader in a company.
