People Live Consulting is into Corporate Training in Soft Skills through experiential mode and providing people solutions. In the past 4 years we have conducted around 15 workshops for cross functional groups including production staff and line managers through our "double the business series" workshops. These workshops are extended workshops spread over 4 - 6 weeks and depending upon the client company requirements, we spend close to 12 - 20 hours with the participants. Thrust is on improving throughput by better team work and collaboration. These workshops are experiential workshops where participants "learn through experience". These are a mix of old and bold i.e. combination of indoor and outdoor exercises to drive home the learning.Besides corporate workshops, we are into organisation design, competency mapping, framing of KRAs and KPIs and driving the initiatives to increase the degree of employee engagement.

This profile was created to provide value addition to the day to day content in print media. Supported by Senior Editors and Designers, the profile was very challenging but involved lot of reading and travel to distant parts of India and abroad primarily to get inputs to the editorial leadership team. This was the most challenging assignment during my entire course of association with DB Corp. Extensive reading of national and international newspapers, attending seminars and conferences, interaction with authors and literary figures was interesting but demanding.

The assignment kicked off in the year 2000 and the first job was to create a department, formulate a structure, build teams and recruit quality people as the organisation was expanding quite rapidly. Besides quality people, it required robust structure if at all it had to expand into different territories including language medium, etc. This was the time when Divya Bhaskar Gujrat was launched followed by DNA English in Mumbai and then came Divya Marathi from Maharashtra. My FM was also was gaining ground during the period. There were approximately 40 odd locations in the country and the engagement levels had to be high at all times to remain relevant and no. 1.
