Support Engineer
CurrentRoles and Responsibilities:• Providing users and clients with technical support comprises assisting them with Linux-related concerns, resolving issues, and providing timely responses.• Implement patch deployment activities, taking into consideration the business impact and minimizing disruption to operations. A smooth deployment process requires coordination with relevant stakeholders. Issues with containerized apps were diagnosed and rectified. Docker logs and debugging tools were used to effectively troubleshoot issues.• Routinely checked and updated Docker installations to ensure they were running the most recent versions and security fixes. System resources were monitored to ensure that they performed optimally.• Docker image versions are managed to monitor changes and releases. Versioning procedures were implemented to ensure backward compatibility.• Keeping an eye on the VMS's performance, proactively spotting problems, making the most of system resources, and carrying out preventative maintenance procedures.• Monitoring the state of the camera, network bandwidth, and storage capacity, among other system health metrics.• Responding to and resolving VMS-related support events, examining system logs, identifying the underlying reasons, and putting corrective measures in place to reduce downtime and guarantee optimum system performance.• Preserving accurate records of system setups, processes, and troubleshooting techniques. Sharing information and giving users and team members the necessary training. Investigating and fixing Linux system issues involving software, hardware, and networks to ensure minimal downtime and optimum system performance.
