Co-founded a student organization focused on providing individuals located in the vicinity of the UCLA campus experiencing homelessness with improved access to resources. Previously, the Westwood neighborhood of Los Angeles lacked critical resources for the homeless such as food and health care access. Bruins for Accessible Resources collaborates with other student-led organizations at UCLA as well as services located in the Los Angeles area to bring these resources to the Westwood. Additional initiatives include advocating for more programs targeted at addressing the growing issue of homeless in the greater Los Angeles area through collaborative efforts with existing organizations. Recent progress has led Bruins for Accessible Resources to collaborate with the UCLA Mobile Clinic Project to provide free medical care for the members of the community we serve.

Worked in Dr. Alexander Hoffmann's laboratory as an undergraduate researcher in the Department of Microbiology, Immunology, & Molecular Genetics. Past projects have focused on understanding the effects of obesity in evoking a cellular inflammatory response. My undergraduate thesis work focused on elucidating how innate immune cells differentiate between stimuli to produce a specific cellular response.

Greater Los Angeles Area

The Election Board is responsible for regulating all aspects of the Undergraduate Student Association Council (USAC) elections at UCLA. Typical responsibilities include monitoring candidate campaign expenditure, ensuring candidates follow financial provisions of the election, reviewing candidate expense accounts, and overseeing the Election Board's budget. During my term, I focused on improving the transparency of candidate expenditure and subsidizing election costs to allow more students to run for candidacy. Previously served as a member of the external relations committee (January 2017 - June 2017). This branch of the election board manages communications regarding the elections between USAC and other student organizations.

Over 120 hours of experience helping teach students enrolled in Math 3B (integral/differential calculus and introduction to differential equations) and Physics 5AL (introductory physics lab). As a student instructor, typical responsibilities include helping answer student queries during weekly discussion sections, conducting review sessions for exams, and fostering collaborative group work in the classroom.
