I am an experienced professional in the field of biotechnology, specializing in protein purification and downstream processing. I have expertise in chromatographic purification techniques, such as affinity, gel filtration, hydrophobic interaction, and ion-exchange chromatography. I am skilled in tangential flow filtration and analytical HPLC. My experience includes expression of proteins in bacterial systems and optimization of purification processes. I have worked with instruments like Akta Pure, Akta Avant, Akta Pilot, Akta start, Akta Process BioRad's biologic duo flow system, and Agilent's HPLC 1100 and 1200 series.Currently, I hold the position of Senior Research Associate at Syngene International Ltd, where I am responsible for purifying therapeutic proteins, including monoclonal antibodies, and optimizing expression and purification of recombinant proteins. I also perform qualitative and quantitative analysis of purified proteins and collaborate with analytical, upstream, and molecular biology teams to determine the appropriate purification methods. Additionally, I provide project reports and maintain documentation.Prior to this, I worked as a Trainee Executive Officer at Serum Institute of India, where I focused on downstream process development and tangential flow filtration-based purification of proteins.In terms of education, I hold an M.Tech in Bioprocess Technology from the Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai, and a Bachelor of Pharmacy from Government College of Pharmacy, Ratnagiri, Mumbai University. I have also completed certifications in Google Project Management, Asana, and Jira.During my M.Tech, I conducted research on the design of membrane and chromatography integration strategies for the purification of Rifamycin B under the supervision of Dr. Reena Pandit.
