I’m a second year BSc (Hons) Psychology student at the University of Nottingham, currently studying a year abroad at the University of Nottingham Malaysia. This study abroad experience displays adaptability, independence, cultural experience, and cross-cultural communication skills. While in Malaysia, I am the acting UK Ambassador for the University involving organisational and leadership roles among the UK students and communication with different UoNM organisations and management. I am the captain of the UK netball team in Malaysia which has helped me to develop leadership roles, team motivation, and teamwork. I have previous experience in the accountancy field after completing the AATQB qualification with a Distinction and working as an Accounts Assistant Apprentice for 14 months prior to starting university. This job provided me the opportunity to utilise many skills including accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, VAT returns, receptionist duties, office administration, time management, teamwork, and dedication. I have also had experience as an office administrator at a Web and Graphic Design Company (Pynto LTD) providing me with skills in administration, office organisation, client communication, and editing.My leadership and teamwork skills initially developed during my Duke of Edinburgh Silver Award and have been developed through my volunteering as a Dance Instructor (Ellodie Stott School for Dance) and Planning Organiser (Hatherleigh Festival). I am now able to utilise these skills while acting as UK Ambassador and Netball Captain at UoNM.
