Plan, design, and implement technical solutions for Ten Mile Square clients. Engagements have included• Designing the system architecture for, and implementing a system that distributes over $1B of music royalties to artists and labels each year. Managing multiple simultaneous projects to build various components of the system. Developing various components of the system using AWS, Java, Serverless, and Angular along with minimal Python and bash scripts.• Managing a 7-person “Tiger Team” that was responsible for the operational aspects of building and deploying a high-volume, consumer-facing educational website on the Amazon Web Services platform. The system currently handles upwards of one million page views and/or AJAX requests per hour.• Guiding an Internet backbone company in the creation of a new hardware appliance that provides value-added DNS services to ISP and enterprise customers• Working with a large media company to build and maintain various middleware applications that prove REST and SOAP based web-services• Reviewing various project codebases for numerous clients and recommending how to most effectively use these codebases for future software engineering efforts

• Planned and developed the HSCV Workflow application, a tool used by Humanitarian Services for Children of Vietnam to track families involved in HSCV programs and HSCV donors. The application was built using Spring 2.0, Apache, Tomcat, and MySQL.• Technical lead for the Asset Registry middleware project at Scripps Networks. The application serves as central repository for all Scripps media assets and helps Scripps generate revenue from asset repurposing and reuse. The product provides REST and SOAP web-services interfaces and was build using J2EE technologies, Spring, Tomcat, Oracle, and eDirectory.• Worked with NASDAQ to design and develop their web-based Report Center product that is responsible for collecting, manipulating, and displaying information about the financial transactions of NASD member companies. The product was built using J2EE technologies, WebLogic, and Oracle.• Maintained and supported Triumph Learning’s test-preparation software.

• Responsible for planning and executing Triumph Learning’s technology strategy in order to maximize revenue of book and software products.• Developed and maintained Triumph Learning’s test-preparation software that determines gaps in student knowledge and directs students to the appropriate sections of Triumph Learning books that focus on those knowledge gaps.--- Test authoring system developed using various J2EE technologies --- Test delivery system developed using Macromedia Flash and Director--- Reporting utility developed with VBA--- As of Feb 2005, system had been used to create 48 distinct CD ROM products that contained over 5,000 distinct questions and had earned over $1MM.• Planned features for Coach Online, an Internet-based test preparation product.

• Technical lead for the RHInterchange, a contraceptive distribution reporting system. The system receives data from donor organizations such as USAID, UNFPA, and IPPF and aggregates it into useful reports.• Technical lead for the Didera database accelerator product, a data cache that enables inexpensive, fast replication of Oracle databases.• Performed independent verification and validation of a software product used by McKinsey with their insurance industry clients.
