I interned at a Christian Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) in El Salvador called Enlace. The NGO seeks aid from entities in the United States to assist economically deprived communities in El Salvador. American Volunteers travel hundreds of miles to have a life-fulfilling experience where they can positively impact communities in need of help. Volunteers build houses, wells, walls, eco-stoves among other structures; they grow both spiritually and mentally by engaging with the locals in economically deprived communities.
